Interview with Roy Zhang, Chair of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Forum at the European Chamber.

How long have you been involved with the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC)?

I have been with European Chamber and CSR Forum for over 7 years, since 2013.

What would you say are the biggest accomplishments of the CSR Forum of the European Chamber in the past years?

There have been many accomplishments achieved by the European Chamber CSR Forum over the years, such as the 10th anniversary whitepaper, a responsible supply chain project, a presentation at the European Commission Multi-stakeholder Conference on CSR, a CEO Talk series, the Sustainable Business Awards, etc. However, the biggest accomplishment for me along my journey with European Chamber is the people/member network that connected, communicated and collaborated through the platform of the CSR Forum.

What would you like to see happening with the CSR Forum in the next months/ years?

COVID-19 has brought a profound and lasting impact to all sectors of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, including members, partners and other key stakeholders. Society, industries, companies and CSR practitioners are all facing disruptive challenges and/or emerging opportunities in the coming months/years. It’s also a critical period for the European Chamber CSR Forum to redefine, rethink and renovate its strategy and approach to help its members navigate through the turmoil toward new success.

Roy Zhang, Director of Community Affairs/CSR at United Technologies (Asia); Chair of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Forum at the European Chamber.
